A Roof Restored; A Community United

By: Atlas Roofing

In the town of Fayetteville, GA, where community roots run deep, a pastor and his family were struggling under the weight of an aging, leaky roof. For the family, their home wasn’t just a place to live—it was a haven, a source of comfort, and a foundation for their ministry. When repair options seemed out of reach, help came from an unexpected source, sparking a community effort that would restore more than just a roof.

From Struggles to Solutions

The origins of this story began over a year ago when Chandler Christian, then working for another roofing company, first inspected the preacher’s roof. Upon review, Chandler confirmed there was still life left in the roof, and understanding the personal circumstances, recommended to hold off on a full replacement. Fast-forward to 2024—Chandler, now co-owner of A&C Property Management with Adam Hambrick, was contacted again by the preacher.

The seasons took a toll on their roof, and the situation was dire. Leaks had begun to form throughout his home, and a previous roofer who conducted repairs wouldn't assist with filing an insurance claim. Chandler took on the project initially tried to work through insurance, but the claim was denied.

For Chandler, the answer was simple: the pastor and his family, who had dedicated their lives to giving back to others, needed help—and he was in a position to give it. Determined to find a solution, Chandler began reaching out to his network. Tim Fitzgerald at ABC Supply in Griffin, GA, stepped up, reaching out to Atlas Roofing territory sales representative Brinson Jones. Tim and Brinson coordinated the donation of roofing materials, while Chandler and Adam committed to providing all the labor and accessories required to bring the project to life.

The Day a Community Came Together

When installation day arrived, it became clear that before work on the roof could begin, large trees surrounding the home had to be removed to ensure safe access and cleanup. Chandler called on his friend Nathan Williams, owner of DirtPro Land Solutions, who volunteered his time and equipment to clear the site. "Nathan didn't even hesitate," Chandler shared. "He showed up ready to make it happen." The preacher and several church members even joined in to help with the cleanup, showing their gratitude in the best way they could—by rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the crew.

Building More Than a Roof

"We didn’t start our business just to build roofs; we started it to build connections and serve the people who make this community so special," shared A&C Property Management

The new roof wasn’t just a repair; it was a gesture of hope and care, a reminder that even in challenging times, community and compassion can overcome the odds. For the preacher and his family, the project was a blessing. And for Chandler and Adam, this project fulfilled a promise they made when they founded A&C Property Management: to give back to their community in meaningful ways.
